Coleman the Sasquatch and Sarsaparilla the Cow promoting our Scott County Public Library performance with anchors Katie Solove and Doug High. We learned that Doug grew up in West Chester, Ohio, and made is first TV appearance as a boy on Cincinnati’s very own “Uncle Al Show” on WCPO.

Did you know that Channel 9 was the home to legendary children’s TV program The Uncle Al Show for 35 years! It’s also where another local TV legend got his start in Cincinnati… puppeteer Larry Smith of course!

We were thrilled to be guests on News 5 Today. Anchor Jonathan Hawgood was very interested in the puppets. This appearance was the television debut of Coleman the Sasquatch’s new look. Did you know that Kukla Fran & Ollie creator/puppeteer Burr Tillstrom started on WLWT in the late 1940s before taking the show to Chicago! It was an honor to be on the air where Burr started!
