Here’s a message from Wump Mucket Puppets creator and puppeteer Terrence Burke:
Hi there! Thank you for your interest in my puppetry projects. Wump Mucket Puppets is what I consider “what I am supposed to do” during my lifetime. Sure it took me several years to get here, life got in the way and sent me down a few different roads.
The good news is that I got here and that I can entertain people to have them laugh, sing, even shout “PUPPETS ROCK!” at the end of my shows. I firmly believe that the five year boy that I was in 1969 is still with me at every puppet show that I perform. I think he would get a real kick out of the show if he were in the audience.
Wump Mucket Puppets are a homemade labor of love. I am a self-taught puppeteer, and with the help of my wife Lara, create the entire show word-by-word, stitch-by-stitch in our Northside home in Cincinnati, Ohio. It is my hope that some of that love comes through my puppet characters to make you smile, sing, or chuckle. To accomplish that is all that I can ever wish for as a puppeteer.
The puppets and I hope to see you and your friends at one of our shows.
